Foxholes is a high-end care home in Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
We’ve been delivering wide-ranging PR for them consistently for more than a year, achieving a range of national, regional and trade press coverage.
It was off the back of this ongoing PR work that Downing Street’s press office – having read one of our published stories – reached out to ask if the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, could have a virtual tour of the home and meet some of the staff and residents.
Agreeing to this, we helped orchestrate a 30-minute conversation between the PM and the home, where he spoke to the Estate Manager, Neil Gandecha, some of the staff, and some of the residents, praising them for their work during the pandemic.
Everyone at the home was delighted with the recognition and it proved to be a real morale boost.
Furthermore, with Number 10 contacts now firmly established, we reached out to the PM during the vaccine rollout, and he dialled in a second time to watch residents receive their vaccines live over Zoom.
The meetings with the Prime Minister served to raise the profile of the home, legitimising it as a care home of note – and increasing its attractiveness to prospective residents, all while offering a sense of reward to staff for their outstanding care and commitment.
