Kayaking challenge

In recent weeks we’ve been working with Louis Alexander, the UK’s youngest professional adventurer, to help promote his fundraising efforts for Race Against Dementia.

A two-time world record holder, he’s already ran seven marathons on seven continents and swam marathon distance in the seven seas.

His latest challenge is another seven – kayaking across seven of the deadliest sea crossings in the world

With his efforts sponsored by Cinnamon Care, who are also hosting multiple roadshows that sees Louis visit their homes and chat to residents, we’ve also been looking to secure publicity around these.

Our initial outreach secured two prime media opportunities, with interviews via The Times, who featured his story online and in print, and Unilad, who produced two separate articles on Louis’ new challenge, while also sharing on their social channels and linking to the articles.

Covering both ends of the media spectrum, the features have helped put Louis in front of a huge and diverse audience.

And on top of this, he was also interviewed in the ITV Meridian studio ahead of his talks at one of Cinnamon’s homes in Hampshire.

With a target of raising £1million by the age of 30, Louis’ kayaking endeavours need to make a splash if he’s to achieve it – and last week’s round of coverage was a fantastic start in shouting about his latest efforts.

And that’s our Pic of the Week!
