This week marks World EV Day – where people around the globe celebrate the sustainable benefits offered by electric vehicles on our travel habits and the wider environment.
Wanting to get in on the conversation, our client, RAW Charging, the leading destination EV charge point provider for hospitality, leisure and retail destinations across the UK and Europe, looked to offer something back to consumers.
For the fifth year running, this took the form of free EV charging for the day at its charging points – something that would usually cost motorists needing to top up.
With the freebie providing a neat enough news hook, we added an extra creative spin where we advised people on the ten things you didn’t know you could do when charging your car.
Based on the unusual locations that RAW Charging points are found – which includes the likes of Warwick Castle, Legoland, Thorpe Park, National Trust properties and more – it centred on highlighting the diverse places you can charge your vehicle to underline the widespread nature of RAW’s charging network.
Pushing this out to the relevant media contacts, we managed to secure a raft of coverage across a mix of national press and regional publications.
With the national press coverage including the likes of the Daily Express, the Standard and Yahoo! News, further coverage in the regions centred on the creative spin that highlighted specific and novel charging points found within various counties and cities.
This secured coverage across the UK from the Yorkshire Post to Lancs Live, Plymouth Live to Somerset Live and more – totalling 20 plus pieces.
Some electrifying coverage then, that added some spark around an important date for RAW Charging.
And that’s our Pic of the Week!
