Festival Buzz

We work with the Midhurst Jazz, Food & Blues Festival in West Sussex.

Following a hugely successful debut festival last year, this year the team wanted to make a statement by launching a full year-round programme of jazz, food and blues events.

Over the course of just one week, our launch campaign generated a wave of regional media coverage across titles including Sussex World, Haslemere Herald, Liphook Herald and Family   Grapevine.

But the standout wins came via two prime-time BBC radio opportunities.

Festival founder Adam was interviewed live on BBC Radio Kent’s afternoon show, which also syndicated across BBC Radio Surrey, we then secured a second five-minute live interview on the BBC Radio Sussex breakfast show just days later.

That level of broadcast exposure in the festival’s key catchment area helped massively build awareness and anticipation ahead of the main festival announcement later this year.

And crucially, it’s already translating commercially too.

Summer event tickets have been selling extremely well following the coverage, while sponsor interest has also increased significantly as momentum around the festival continues to grow.

For brands, festivals and events businesses, regional media can be hugely powerful when paired with a strong story, good timing and clear audience appeal.
