18 years, 18 plates

We work with Coxbench Hall, a family run residential care home in Derbyshire.

And one of the people at the heart of the home is Amy Hazeldine, the head chef, who has been serving up meals there for 18 years.

That's a lovely milestone in itself.

So when it came to marking the occasion, we spotted a great opportunity to celebrate both Amy's long service and the residents she's cooked for over the years.

The idea was a cookbook - and not just any cookbook.

Amy curated one featuring 18 plates for her 18 years at the home, with the recipes put together alongside the residents themselves.

It's a warm bit of storytelling that brings together the home's heritage, its people and the personal stories behind the food they love.

And it gave us some great material to take to the media.

Sharing the story secured some great coverage, including an almost full page feature in print via the Derby Telegraph, as well as an online piece in the Derbyshire Times, which are prime for the home's local target market.

On top of this, it also ran in the iPaper in print, broadening its reach even further.

And it landed trade coverage too, with a feature in Tomorrow's Care putting Coxbench Hall in front of the wider sector.

The interest didn't stop there either, as it also caught the attention of PA Media, who have lined up an interview with Amy off the back of it - opening the door to even wider syndication.

While BBC Radio Derby is also visiting next week to interview Amy too.

A lovely bit of PR for Coxbench Hall, that celebrated a much loved member of the team while shining a light on the residents.

And it's a great reminder of what's possible when you use your home's heritage and tap into people's personal stories.
