As a quick example of how we’ve done it in the past, last year, we helped WiHTL, a collaboration community devoted to increasing diversity and inclusion across the hospitality, travel, leisure and retail industries, to PR its flagship inclusion summit.

Our help saw it achieve record attendance.

Celebrating diversity and inclusion across its core industries, the event welcomed a broad array of speakers and contributors, including industry heavyweights, such as Mary Portas, the queen of retail, and psychologist John Amaechi OBE.

One of our core focuses at Pic is hospitality, and WiHTL came to us for support to secure PR opportunities across the trade press – with a view to drumming up interest and driving attendance, while they were also keen to do some post-event PR work too.

This saw us work with the team there to create a series of PR approaches to maximise the opportunities on offer.

Along with press releases teasing the speaker line-up, we also used data from a diversity report to create further news stories, while also undertaking feature pushes to try and secure opportunities to outline WiHTL’s founders’ expertise and underline their diversity messaging.

This saw us achieve coverage across the main hospitality trade titles, including expert feature articles in Boutique Hotelier, Boutique Hotel News and The Caterer (the leading publication) – and key travel titles such as TTG.

As mentioned, helped by our PR activity, the event saw record attendance – leaving the team at WiHTL delighted.
