How we can get your product into a supermarket

We recently helped secure a partnership deal with Ocado for one of our clients – which now sees their range of ready meals stocked online and available UK-wide.

Just to quickly outline our approach,  at Pic PR, we offer a mixture of services including PR, photography, videography, social, design and copy, which work together to amplify our clients' offerings

In this instance, the Wild Hare Group, a relatively new brand in the market, brought us in to increase awareness of their offering in the food industry, seeking to use pretty much the full complement of what we offer to do so.

Focused on sustainability, the Wild Hare promotes regenerative agriculture and ethical farming as part of their production of high quality, nutritious ready meals, which use recipes designed by Michelin-standard chefs.

The group’s founder, Dominie, tasked us with creating a new online identity for the brand – including developing a new website, creating social media content, and shouting about Wild Hare developments to the relevant media via PR activity.

As part of this, our photography and video team captured eye-catching photography of the plated-up food, to emphasise the quality of the ingredients, and underline the high-end nature of the produce.

Our design team then worked on Wild Hare’s brand assets to expand their online identity. Within this, we also designed the website before turning to our copy team to populate it with suitably beguiling wording.

Alongside, our social team used the visual assets to plan a strategic approach across the group’s key channels, drafting and publishing content that generated huge jumps in engagement across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

And running parallel to the above, our PR team focused on new developments, such as a major partnership with Getir, which secured coverage in The Grocer, and other advances, such as Wild Hare’s move towards the UK’s first net zero ready meal.

Further activity saw us shout about Dominie too, helping to raise her personal profile, including a meeting with the Prince of Wales, as well as her shortlisting as Entrepreneur of the Year in a sustainability award.

This wide ranging activity came together to help propel the Wild Hare Group into the consciousness of senior figures in the food industry.

This subsequently saw the group form its partnership with Ocado and go live in its online store – achieving the core target of our work, which was to enhance the brand’s profile enough to secure a partnership with one of the UK’s major supermarket brands.

That’s a summary of it, but you can read more on our website, here, as well as seeing some of the visuals involved...
