Social Media Growth | How to level up your social media

April 27th 2023 By Jena Harding 2 minute read

Social media has revolutionised the way we live since the early 2000s. Platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok have taken over our lives and become a part of our daily routine.

While most of us are familiar with the platforms, many of us fail to utilise social media to its full potential. So how can you level up your social media?

Whether you're starting up a business, trying to improve your current business socials or just want to boost your personal channels, then here are a few tips and tricks to help!

First, you need to identify your target audience. Are you looking to create content for your grandma or people the same age as you who share the same interests?  This is important for boosting your engagement and interactions. Your content should be eye-catching and interesting enough so people will stop scrolling – and relevant to your audience.

Another way to improve your social media is to follow accounts that are similar to your content. These accounts can help provide you with lots of inspiration and examples of current trends. Look at how they engage with their audience, and how they do their CTA (Call to action). And don't worry, researching other accounts isn’t copying – it all helps with generating ideas to enhance your own channels. If you see something you like, why not put your own spin on it?

And speaking of enhancing, high-quality photos and videos are also a crucial aspect of amplifying your accounts. No one wants to see a blurry photo taken at a dodgy angle. Bright, crisp clean photos and well edited videos always catch the eye. So why not a) invest in a proper camera? Or b) invest in our video team? Not only will you get high quality kit – you’ll have the expertise on hand to use it. Take a look at some of our client work here – we're really good at what we do!

Last but certainly not least, is authenticity. Social media is a free space to showcase your uniqueness and style. Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of media and content to find out what best suits you and build yourself an authentic profile
