Love is in Care

Love has very much been in the air recently at Pic, as we’ve embraced Valentine’s Day for our clients.

And with care residents having a lifetime of experience and love behind them, we emphasised this in a couple of initiatives.

First up, high end homecare provider, Venelle, invited a mix of its clients and its team to write letters to their younger selves as an act of ‘self-love’ – putting a slightly different spin on the usual romance.

With some really heartwarming – and some tragic – input, it was enough to secure key regional coverage for Venelle across London and the home counties, via the likes of the Bucks Herald, LondonWorld, SussexWorld and SurreyWorld, which all helped to get them in front of their core local audiences.

Our second care-centric initiative focused on Meadow View, a care home in Northamptonshire that’s part of the Wellbeing Care Group.

This saw our video team speak to residents to get their take on love – discussing their experiences and any advice for younger generations.

And we also showed them some modern dating apps to capture their reaction to the likes of Tinder and the concept of swiping right.

Packaging it up as some uplifting – and not to mention funny – content, it again secured coverage in key local publications such as the Northamptonshire Telegraph and the Northampton Chronicle.

With care providers usually offering services tied to a set geographical area, local media coverage is what they love – and these examples helped achieve just that.
