Is James Corden a Karen?

James Corden, similarly to Marmite, has been dividing the nation in recent years but, love or hate him, has he gone too far this time?

You might have seen his name plastered all over Twitter recently and, unfortunately for Corden, it wasn’t because people were campaigning for another Gavin and Stacy Christmas special. 

The British comedian, who hopped across the pond to host The Late, Late Show in America, has been ‘exposed’ by the owner of a popular New York restaurant for his rude behaviour. The owner has even gone as far as to call him “the most abusive customer” he’s encountered in 25 years. More personally, he referred to Corden as a “tiny Cretin of a man”.

It all started when Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar, took to Instagram to let the public know all about his two separate experiences with Corden. He described his embarrassing behaviour, sharing that on October 9th, when James and his wife were dining at Balthazar, his wife found that her egg yolk omelette had a bit of egg white mixed in - and boy was Corden unhappy! 

According to McNally’s post, there was an ensuing tirade of insults directed at members of the waitstaff and the kitchen, with Corden yelling: “You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”

At the time of writing this, James Corden and his team are yet to put out a statement or acknowledgement over the situation because, really, what can you say about being caught behaving like a Karen?

McNally has made another post, though, stating that James called him personally to apologise for his behaviour and the pair seem to have made up… until next time someone gets his wife’s omelette order wrong!
