How having your finger on the PR pulse can lead to lots of press opportunities

When it comes to media opps it pays to have a spokesperson on hand – especially when it’s for breaking, topical news.

We work with HR consultancy, HR Star, and its Managing Director, Kelly Tucker has the perfect experience to comment on people-related business issues. So when we spot an opportunity in the news agenda – we look to put Kelly forward.

For instance, the other week, a ruling in the US Supreme Court saw a ban on Elon Musk tweeting about Tesla without prior approval being upheld.

This led to a focus on social media policies – something Kelly is well versed in – and putting her up for commentary saw us secure a piece in HR Magazine, the leading magazine for the sector and a great one for authoritative voice.
This comes hot on the heels of other reactive press opps, such as Rebecca Ferguson, the Swedish actress, saying she refuses to work with toxic colleagues, which saw Kelly feature in Cosmopolitan.

And Red Bull’s handling of allegations about Christian Horner, which saw Kelly secure a feature in Raconteur magazine.

So that’s just a few examples then of how having an expert on hand combined with a finger on the PR pulse can land some excellent PR opportunities.

Ps Oh, and here's Amy, one of our fab account directors here, talking about it all. Do have a watch.
