Partnering with the Dosa Darlings team, we put our creative heads together to suggest two Halloween-themed experiences designed to delight diners, while providing a great PR opportunity to generate the relevant local news hook.
The first saw a week-long costume incentive reward guests dressed in Halloween attire with a 10% discount – adding a bit of festive fun for those keen to participate. Alongside this, we also suggested ‘trick or treat’ cocktails, where diners could flip a coin for a chance to enjoy a 50% discount on a house cocktail, bringing an element of surprise to their evening.
Aimed at attracting people during the quieter midweek periods and packaged up as a Halloween celebration, it was enough of an incentive to get press coverage, which saw the initiative covered by the likes of the Oxford Mail, with mentions on national platforms like Yahoo! News and MSN News too.
This Halloween initiative successfully turned usually quiet weekday nights into lively occasions, drawing guests specifically for the themed promotions. And it’s an approach that helped position Dosa Darlings as a local favourite, while illustrating the value of a little creativity when it comes to PR concepts, as it helped drive both engagement and business.
