Getting top tier press visits to your hotel

Top tier press stays can make a real difference to your hotel’s standing.

They’re a fantastic way of showcasing your offering. And not only are they great at the time they’re published thanks to their immediate readership, but they also offer long-term benefit – helping you to convey the legitimacy and quality of your hotel.

As an example of what we mean, we’ve secured some great press opportunities for one of our clients, Stanwell House in Lymington, recently.

Hot on the heels of a Guardian review of its restaurant, it’s just had an excellent review in the Times.

The refurbished hotel only opened to the public for the first time just before Christmas, yet it’s already had Grace Dent come from the Guardian, and this weekend a review from Susan D’Arcy at The Times was published.

Press stays can take a long time to organise, with journalists’ diaries booking up fast – so we started laying the groundwork before the hotel even opened to ensure that we hit the ground running.

And with The Times’ review already published and the Guardian having enjoyed the restaurant, a journalist from The Independent has also already been (with their review pending publication), while a Daily Telegraph journalist is due to visit shortly, too.

Alongside the initial splash, you can use the review to fuel wider marketing, such as social media and newsletters, as they’re great for helping to convey your quality. Bound by press standards, national press reviews always carry more weight than TripAdvisor, Google Reviews and so on, so it’s important to maximise their impact.
