Care Dine With Me?

Putting a unique spin on a pop culture phenomenon is an easy way of getting attention.

Most people will have heard of Come Dine With Me – the television show where people take it in turns to host a dinner party before scoring each other’s efforts.

This familiarity lends itself to a change of wording to get people’s attention: “Wait…did that say Care Dine with Me?”

And working in the care sector makes changing ‘come’ to ‘care’ a nice easy attention grabber for us to use.

With the idea to hand, we turned to our client, Priesty Fields Care Home in Cheshire, to see if we could add a unique spin involving their residents.

The home places a big emphasis on its quality food, so we took the opportunity to get the home’s head chef, Barry, to cook for residents to showcase his skills before getting residents to score the outcome – and subsequently creating a video about it.

This made for some lovely content for the home’s social channels, while it also allowed us to reach out to press with it too.

Doing so generated some nice trade coverage in key titles such as The Carer, The Caring Times, and Retirement Matters, while it also got some local coverage via Cheshire Silk Radio and In Your Area – helping to put the home in front of prospective residents’ families.
