Pic PR shortlisted for a CIPR Pride Award
There’s been a buzz at Pic PR HQ this week as it was recently announced that we’re in the running for a CIPR Pride Award.
Our work with Home Leisure Direct (HLD) has seen us shortlisted for the prestigious Consumer Relations Campaign Award for our Games Room of the Year competition 2016.
As the UK’s leading supplier of games room equipment, such as luxury pool tables, jukeboxes, arcade machines, table tennis and table football, HLD’s business model is predominantly focused on e-commerce.
With search rankings playing a huge role in driving consumers to its website, the company wanted a PR campaign to boost its online visibility.
First launched in 2015, such was the success of the competition that HLD decided to run it again for 2016. As a supplier rather than a producer, the simple entertainment factor of its products was an obvious strength to play on.
This was a campaign that required good old fashioned press coverage to be successful for our client. Happily, our PR team achieved exposure in an array of national titles, including The Mail Online, the Metro, The Mirror Online, The Sun Online, The Daily Star (online and in print), Express Online and ITV.com, as well as The Lad Bible.
In the two months the campaign ran for, HLD had its record period of sales. What’s more, website traffic increased by 200% – with the main referral sites being those that ran the competition story.
All in all, we’re very excited to be in the running for this award. Over 950 entries were received from PR agencies across the UK, so we’re thrilled to be amongst the lucky few to have been shortlisted! Here’s hoping we bag the award at the glitzy awards ceremony in Bristol this November…
