The power of cuteness

As a Christmas gift to the world, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released three official pictures of Prince George on Saturday 13th December, and my god, they are adorable.

Georgey who is now 16 months old, is sat on the steps of Kensington Palace in the worlds cutest outfit.

According to the Independent, 24 hours after they were released there was 27,410 tweets including ‘Prince George’ and of those 1,980 used the term ‘cute’. Since being uploaded on Twitter by Clarence House, the pictures have been retweeted 10,000 times and favourited 14,000 times. 206 news articles have been written about the images and have had extensive coverage in US, Canada and France.

In many of the news articles, Prince George’s attire has already be found online where those can purchase the same exact clothes for just £85. All of which, have already sold out!

This is just a minor example of how incredibly powerful images are. It also a reminder of how times has changed and now absolutely everything is online. Clarence House released the images via Twitter. I love how even the Royals are even getting on board with social media!

This just goes to show, if you as a company or business aren’t on Twitter or Facebook yet, you really need to embrace it, and quick. Otherwise you will miss out on essential information – like these ridiculously cute pictures.
