Harry Potter Hotel

Harry Potter Hotel

I’ve never been a Harry Potter fan, this offends a lot of people and I wish I cared but I really don’t. Yes it was a cool idea but it went waaay over the top and resulted in a bloody theme park!

However, as a lover of hospitality, I have to admit, it is pretty cool that there is now a Harry Potter themed hotel.

The 163 year old Georgian House Hotel in London has created rooms as replicas of the film sets for die hard fans. The hotel has introduced Hogworts rooms as well as personalised wizarding packages! (wow)

The stay includes a tour of central landmarks from the films and a trip to the Warner Bros Studio for The Making of Harry Potter Tour.

Special guest rooms include trunks, potion bottles, cauldrons and spell books but this obviously comes at a cost! Starting at £249 per night in the smaller ‘wizard chambers’ which sleeps three people, it can go up to £363 a night for the five person room.

Serena von der Heyde, partner at The Georgian House, told The Independent: “The Georgian House Hotel places great emphasis on welcoming families and I really wanted to create something fun for young visitors. When guests arrive we light candles and play music as they enter the Wizard Chambers – it’s a great way to give families a unique stay.”

Now this is fantastic PR for the hotel. They have managed jumped on the back of a hugely popular series and created an experience that millions will jump at the chance to enjoy. Why wasn’t this created before?!

If you are a die-hard fan, this has to be pretty exciting. But for someone like me, I just admire the genius marketing and PR behind it all!
